Bio

I am a retired government worker in Virginia near Washington DC who was widowed with children and married a widow with children. I got involved with family history research to help my new wife look up information on her West Virginia kin. As a result we visited many small cemeteries in odd locations. At first we merely wrote information in notebooks, but later began to take pictures of the tombstones, and then began to register them on FindaGrave to allow others to search the database.
I welcome corrections, additions and suggestions. If the graves are of your ancestors and you desire ownership, send me an E-mail with the memorial number(s) of the grave(s) you want transferred. Be sure to put FindaGrave as the first word in your subject line so it is not deleted as spam. NOTE: I don't send or respond to public messages.
