Bio

Hi, I'm Sharon...
I love anything to do with heritage! We should all care to know who our family is, and that starts with the ones that have proceeded us in death.
I started researching my family in 2004. My dad had already done a large part on his own. Adding that he did this without the help of computers, Thank You Lord that we have them now! My maternal grandmother had done a 5 generation tree a few years earlier and I was able to forward that over to Ancestry.com, and now with DNA being added to that site I’ve found even more connections.
I have been a member of F.A.G. (Really wish they had a different acronym) since 2008, when my sister in law brought this site to my attention. I love being a contributor and invite others to join us.
I try and record family and friends as I learn of their passing, to help their families be able to keep a memorial for their loved ones. I also contribute as I find myself visiting other cemeteries I record them as well. My husband and my three kids have learned a lot as they have often accompanied me on a search for a grave for someone, or just that we found an old historic cemetery and I have found interesting. I hope one day they to will become contributors or at least they will help me keep our ancestry up to date.

If I have a Memorial that you would like me to transfer, please use the edit button on the memorial as this will link the memorial you are referencing and make the transaction a lot easier to do.
Please note F.A.G rules on this matter as you are entitled to have a 4 generation tree of your parents, siblings, grandparents, great-grandparents transferred to you upon becoming a F.A.G. contributor. Aunts, Uncles, cousins, etc. are not upon that list.
If you are wanting them transferred to make additions, you can use the edit button and tell me what you need done and I will be happy to do that as well. By using the Edit button it links the memorial you are asking about to make it easier for me to locate.
Feel free to contact me!

Had to share this:

DEAR ANCESTOR
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
