My mother Marzell Hartbarger Duncan was the genealogist in the family. I was always interested in what she discovered but did not have the time or access to pursue it. She was doing it the old fashion way, contacting distant relatives by snail mail and asking questions. She would have loved the convenience of the web, but she loved talking to kinfolks!

After she died in 1992, my father shipped all of her records to me and I was hooked. I have dabbled off and on since, primarily lookups on the web. I have made a few field trips to Georgia and Kentucky looking for tombstones and researching in the county libraries.

Recently I completed a family history book for my wife's family "The Schork-Dougherty Families of Louisville, KY" I presented it to my wife and her siblings Christmas 2008.

I no longer live in the Allentown, Leigh County, PA area so I am unable to fulfill any photo requests from that area. If you have sent a request for a PA cemetery that is unfulfilled or claimed, could you be so kind as to cancel it. Thanks.
