|M.E.||RE: Leoline Coleman|
Thank you so much for transferring Leoline Coleman's memorial to me, but mostly for creating it in the first place and for posting so much detailed information on it. There are so many of us who have benefitted from your labor of love in creating so many memorials for those who have gone on before. It is truly appreciated. God bless you for all you do! Carol

|M.E.||RE: Leoline Coleman|
I appreciate your caution in transferring memorials to unknown people. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. My husband and I, who live in southern Ohio, were recently visiting in Naperville and Wheaton. I knew Leoline was buried in Naperville Cemetery so contacted the cemetery for burial information. Although she is in an unmarked grave and my only relative buried there, we visited the cemetery anyway and took pictures of her grave location. I have posted a picture on her memorial.
When contacting the cemetery, I asked Laura Merner in an email if she had Leoline's birthdate because there is conflicting information regarding her year of birth. She replied that they only had her date of interment and her age listed as 26 years, 8 months, 6 days. Although her death certificate information says she was 26 at death, her baptismal record at Holden Lutheran Church in Mount Morris, Wisc gives a birth date of May 3, 1894, not 1892. Baptism date was given as Aug 21, 1894. Having grown up Lutheran, I know it is unusual to wait until a child is 2 years old to baptize. Also, Leoline's parents, Christian and Anna Mathilde (Tillie) Hanson Swanson were married in Nov 1893. If Leoline was born in May 1892, she was 1 1/2 years old when they were married. This too seems very unusual for that day and time, especially when they were church going people. Christian Swanson's older brother was married to the older sister of Tillie Hanson, Christian's wife. They met and married in Mt. Morris where they grew up, a small town that had a large Norwegian population. It seems unlikely that they would not have married before the birth of Leoline, living there among family and friends they had known all their lives.
This is all information I wished to include on Leoline's memorial. I thought it would be easier if I did so, but if you would rather continue managing the memorial, that is fine. I can send further information to you to include. Tillie Hanson and her sister, Carrie, who were married to the Swanson brothers, were sisters of my great grandmother, Hannah Hanson. By the way, Leoline's death certificate says her mother was Lillas Hanson. The handwriting was probably not clear. It should be Tillie Hanson.
Thank you for including all the detailed information on Leoline's memorial, especially her obituary! It was so nice of you to take the time to post it, and her death certificate information.

I received your suggested edits (middle names) for the memorials above. Would you please provide the source(s) of your information?
Thank you for keeping Find A Grave an accurate and valuable genealogical tool!
PS: If you are related to Millard and/or Roy, please let me know how. I would be happy to transfer their memorials to a family member.
Thank you for the headstone photo for for Little Willie Flisher. I appreciate it very much.

Thank you so much for taking her marker photo.
It seems many Find A Grave photographers have lost interest, but there are still many of us who live far away that truly appreciate your effort.

I am sorry to have to tell you that it appears that Edmund does not have a headstone. In the photo that I am uploading, I am standing on Lot #232, looking toward Lot #233, where he is buried. There are several unmarked graves along that row, and I am not sure exactly where he is. I wished this had turned out better, but you might try calling the office to confirm this. Maybe his headstone is buried.
