Bio

I'm a retired sociologist from UW-Eau Claire, book lover, travel lover, family lover. . .

Much of my work on Find-A-Grave is coordinated with my daughter, Sandi Knutson Kaduce. We are particularly interested in cemeteries in Barron, Chippewa, Dunn, and Clark counties in Wisconsin.

Genealogy is my passion. Recording information and taking pictures of graves in my area is an important service I can provide to others. I appreciate those who add information and pictures that I do not have geographical access to. The ability to "connect the dots" or fill in the branches, so to speak, of our family trees is deeply meaningful to me. I also love history and appreciate the history I explore as I learn more about the graveyards and communities around me.

I am willing to share pictures and information with anyone, but I expect to be given credit for pictures used by others.

My love for graveyards, and the stories they hold, began with reading Edgar Lee Masters' "Spoon River Anthology" as a teenager. It is a collection of free-form poems, one for each individual buried in Spoon River (a fictional town). It is now entirely available on the internet: http://spoonriveranthology.net/spoon/river/. Enjoy!
