Many of the headstones at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery are very hard to read due to age, striations in the white marble and letter etchings with no darkening. Click on the photo to enlarge a couple times and it is much easier to read.

Thomas Allred, Sr.
You are listed as the person who created the info for Thomas Allred 1730-1810, Randolph Co, NC

What does your post mean when you stated that "Thomas Allred & Elizabeth (Twiggs) Allred were married in about 1752 in Randolph Co, NC. They were later proxy sealed to each other on August 8/9, 1878 in the LDS Temple." I am not familiar with what a "proxy sealed to each other" means since it was done so many years after death of Thomas -- in 1878 and Thomas Allred died in 1810.

I am descendant and searching for any marriage records for Thomas Allred and just not familiar with what a "proxy sealed marriage means".

Would appreciate hearing from you. pandhsilcox@aol.com
