I've been researching my roots for over 40 years. I remember when I was a boy asking my grandmother and great aunt about relatives who lived so long before me. I got the genealogy bug and the quest for more information continues. The journey has been amazing!|
As an army veteran, I enjoy knowing about and researching those who served in the U.S. military. Their names and experiences need to be remembered.
Family names I'm mainly searching are the following from OH, WV, PA, MD: Ansel, Anspach, Boso, Botzko/Buczko/Butzko, Calvert, Dupler, Ferguson, Logsdon/Logston, McMillan, and Mills.
If you are a related to or have an extreme interest in a memorial that I have, I'm happy to transfer the site (unless it's one of my relatives or someone I'm very interested in). I believe that a relative will care for a site more than anyone else, no matter how distant the relationship.
Happy genealogy trails!

It was my great pleasure.

Thank you so much for transferring these. You generosity is so appreciated.

If you like, that would be great. Glad you agreed with me. (I too have been doing family history research for over 40 years!)
|Valerie C.||Lamech W Spicer|
I believe that Lamech W. Spicer, #75843926 is attached to the wrong George W. Spicer. He was the son of George W. Spicer and Mary Louisa Craig who lived in West Virginia. They did not have a daughter, named Sarah Katherine. If you will check the 1880 census (and others), there was a couple named George and Mary in Richland, Ohio, and a couple named George and Mary L Spicer in Wetzel, West Virginia. I have been unable as yet to find deaths for the George and Mary Louisa in West Virginia. This mistake has been repeated many times on Ancestry.com
Valerie H Cullison
I am a descendant of George W. Spicer of West Virginia and his first wife Eliza L. Cain.

You are most welcome, it was an honor to locate this veteran for you. You must have access to some pretty complete records to locate people from your grandfathers unit. From your bio page I'm guessing you live in W Virginia area. Regards VernB

|Marlene Myers||Pvt James McConn|
James Arthur McConn I is my great grandfather.
I have his bio and information at
Memorial #68180580. I have 2 reasons for writing to you. First, let me thank you for all the work you have put into genealogical research and, mostly, that you chose to share what you found. When I do search on my gggrandfather it sometimes takes me to your memorial and it seems to have his birth and death dates but the rest of the information is for a different James McConn who married Drusilla Silvers. Considering all the research you have done, it is very likely that you know this site, but there is a site
supported by the state of WV that is really useful to check births, marriages and deaths.
Our James Arthur McConn served with the 47th Illinois Infantry. I have hit a brick wall to go on to James' parents (for sure), Perhaps thanks to people like your self who share, I shall do a search and find an answer to take me back further into my ancestry,
|Mike Adduddell||Logston/logsdon surname...|
Dear Cousin Charles,
I have been following my Aduddell/Diddle extended family of which your family is a part. I have collected about 70,000 of our relatives. I appreciate your diligent, concerned work for your portion of the family and many other families. These families will definitely bless your name through the eternities!!! Thank you.
I was wondering if you had determined which spelling of Logston/Logsdon is perhaps the original spelling. Would you know the national origin of the surname? The origin of the other family surnames that you mention in your bio?
Have you been able to find more family info that would change what you have written for George W Logsdon?
Thank you for you time and effort through the years.
