Bio

My father once called my brother and me, "Dead end kids", and now that I am doing this genealogical research, I can feel his disappointment. Both of us had our reasons and our spouses felt the same, but this Find a Grave research has given me great satisfaction. We may not leave descendants, but we can leave a heritage for other members of our extended families to find as time goes on. This is a great network of volunteers who are willing to help each other "fill in the blanks" with photos and information.
I had several professional lives, which seems to be the norm. I was first, a fashion designer and spent two years living in New York City enjoying that, then felt called to an occupation with more long-lasting benefits, so returned to Arizona and taught third grade children for 30 years. Upon retirement, my husband and I opened an Antique business which we enjoyed for several years. Since then, discovering the family roots has become a passion...who knew we had been in this country, in many branches, since the 1600s! Now I am hooked!
