|I do photo requests and out of the way cemeteries. I add and photograph veterans (the majority of the requests) as well as lonely graves, well cared for graves, or ones that appeal to my inner photo journalist.|
No doubt I've handled someone's parents or grandparents. I do not mean to intrude (I rarely add recent ones). I do it as a way for those who no longer live close to connect with their loved ones. I take photos and document the ones near me and others do my ancestors who are not near me. I also do it so that old graves are not completely forgotten to time and decay.
If you have any corrections, please use the Edit/Suggest A Correction feature and let me know the source of the information so I can include that. (Information without sources are fairy tales.) If you find a dupe, let me know too. Accidents happen.
I do transfers within Find A Grave guidelines. I also do transfers outside of the guidelines on a case-by-case basis. Please send any requests though the Edit/Suggest A Correction feature and be sure to include your Contributor Number. That way I get all the information necessary to do the transfer.
Unless I give you explicit permission otherwise, do not publish, repost, or upload any photos I've contributed. This includes not uploading to ancestry trees, even if marked private. (However you are more then welcome to link to the FindAGrave memorial.) It happens to be my legal right to set these boundaries. Please respect the law.
(Claims that FindAGrave photos are copyright-free are erroneous. The "no copyrighted photos" message these reports are referring are about not uploading photos whose copyrights are held by someone else. All photos take by a private citizen automatically have a copyright.)
You DO have my permission to use my photos in your own private files on your own computer.

|I. T. Mudgett||Akiyama Family|
Could you tell me when you will have a chance to link the Akiyama family members at the Kahuku Japanese Cemetery to the Akiyama family in Haw'n Memorial ?
I went to high school with younger members of this family and know their parents. Thank you.

Hi, Russell, I was recently in Laie with my spouse who's family had their recent reunion in Laie. We got a cousin to take us back up the dirt road, known as Cackle Fresh Egg Farm Road, a private road, she knew of the cemetery since she lives in Laie, we found it which sits up off the road back a bit from the main road, it is behind the larger Laie Cemetery which is public and on Wahinepee Street. It is majorly overgrown and we only found about six graves and only two of those had markers readable. I photographed what I saw, but if you ever get back there and can wade through the trees and shrubs It would be great if you can document them. I saw your post on google about this cemetery. I have added it to findagrave with the name Laie Community Cemetery, I forgot when I created it to add aka Pa'akea. I have added the two graves that are readable and will possibly add the other four or five with no names. Thanks for your help. Jerry

Russell, could you please go to this memorial and delete one of the pictures you added. The same picture got added twice. This has happened to me before also, some kind of glitch in Findagrave, maybe? Thanks much, Jim C.
|Erin Van Zante||Lock View Cemetery?|
I saw that you took photos of 2 tiny cemeteries in Hawaii called Lockview A, and Lockview B. Maybe you didn't take photos of both, but at least "A". I have a death cert. for a great uncle who died May 11, 1911 in Honolulu. His death cert states his cemetery location as Lock View in Honolulu. Would these either of these 2 locations be one of the cemeteries on the certificate? His info is pretty solid, but I'm hoping to locate his proper father's grave or death location. I THINK it is FindAGrave memorial 36202921. Father's name was Henry Crook Bird. If you are able to provide any assistance at all, it would be very appreciated, thank you for your time and contributions.

Thank you for your time. May I use your Photograph oh the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Designated Area to spread ashes) for my Family Trees? Thank you again for your consideration and time.

Hi Russell, Sorry, I wasn't clear. The names I gave you (Apuakehau) are in Laie Cemetery also.
|Gloria Rodrigues||RE: Laie Pioneer Memorial Cemetery|
Mahalo Russel for reply. I thought they were separate but it's because someone are entering same names in both!
|Gloria Rodrigues||Laie Pioneer Memorial Cemetery|
Would you happen to know if the Pa'akea & Moko'iki cemeteries are in the Laie Pioneer Memorial cemetery and if there are more Apuakehau family graves?

I liked your picture of that cemetery's specific area of ash scattering. That seems kinda weird. Have you seen other areas like that?

I have a request to transfer the memorial for Pvt John Edward Haynes - are you also related and/or interested having him transferred to you?
