Bio

Native Western North Carolinian and proud of those roots. My maternal and paternal families were early settlers. My Father was a walking encyclopedia of names and stories. He used many archaic words that I have recorded, so they are not lost to time. How enriching his knowledge is to me now. Thank you Dad. ♥
My family has the strongest roots in Scotland, England, Ireland, and Scandinavia. I am fiercely proud of my heritage from all ancestors. They are the reason I am here.

Surnames of family in continuous research: Dodson/Dotson/Lively/Jones/Shaw. Many DNA matches to Dodson/Dotson in USA and UK.

DO NOT POST DEATH CERTIFICATES on the memorials of my family. Even if my death is caused by a stubbed toe, if someone adds a death certificate to my memorial; I WILL haunt you for the rest of your days.

If I have added a photo, obit or other information that you wish removed, kindly let me know and I will be happy to remove it.

**A sincere appreciation to those who spend tireless hours taking photos of headstones and to those properly linking family members one to the other.**

I am proud of the military service in my family from the Revolutionary War to the present.
*******
Oh, not in cruelty, not in wrath,
__The Reaper came that day;
'T was an angel visited the green earth,
__And took the flowers away.
Excerpt from, "The Reaper and the Flowers."
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
