RE: Lance Sorensen in Newton, Kansas
This is so kind of you! With your permission (I will erase it if you tell me to) I did add that tidbit to her memorial as well.

actually, now I look at the plot for George Williams he might have a stone
He is buried a little ways from Homer, so he might very well have a stone. We won't return to Newton until next Memorial Day, but you might take a look, and if this sounds like a man you knew, you can request a photo for him. It should help that he at least has a plot number.

Homer Williams photo
I just now added a couple of photos for Homer. I know a George Williams was buried in the next grave, but George has no stone. Homer's wife is not buried in Newton, according to the records.

RE: Lance Sorensen in Newton, Kansas
The cemetery records at the sexton's office do show that she is buried in Lance's grave.

RE: Lance Sorensen in Newton, Kansas
Hello, I did add the photos for Lance to Audine Sorensen's site, and I also put the GPS--you can click on it, zoom in, switch to photo mode, and even "move" around the cemetery. You will only see tiny tombstones--can't read them. The GPS will only be accurate within about 10', but I have a friend who remarked, "Get me within 10' of a stone I know is there, and I can find it!"

Thank you over and again for requesting Lance's photo in the first place.

There is no stone visible for Audine
Cemetery records show she is buried there, and in fact, in her son Lance's grave, but she has no marker.

Thank you for the earlier information on Audine--please take another look at her memorial.

RE: Lance Sorensen in Newton, Kansas
We were just taking photos for people such as yourself who requested them--we are not related to the Sorensens. That said, when we took those photos, we went to the cemetery records (on-site, not on-line) and Lance and his wife are the only Sorensen's listed for Newton city cemeteries.

Many of my husband's people are buried in Greenwood, so we try to make it down to Newton once a year around Memorial Day.

Thanks for the reply!

Lance Sorensen in Newton, Kansas
Hello,,
I just fulfilled a photo request for you for a Lance Sorensen. There is only one other Sorensen buried in Newton, Kansas, and on May 4, 1959 she and Lance arrived at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey. She didn't need a visa or passport, and they were living at 602 S. Pine, Newton, KS. She was quite a little older than he.

She is buried in Lance's grave, and there is no marker for her. He had a military marker, and IF she was his wife, there are free military stones for wives. If you happen to know, please let me know.

I sent the GPS to the manager of his memorial, but also put it on Audine Mozelle (Williams) Sorensen's plot location too. If you click on it, you will see where Lance is buried, and can even "move" around the cemetery a bit. Her father is buried in Greenwood, not too far away.

You may not be family to Lance, but you did ask for a photo of his tombstone, so I am taking a chance that you know how Audine is related to Lance.

If you read this far, thank you just for that!

Best wishes,
Connie "MrsB"

RE: Earl Francis in Lakewood Memorial Park
No, I'm sorry. There was a funeral going on right next to me and I needed to leave. Make her a memorial page and ask for a photo and one of us will get the photo the next time we are out at the cemetery. Patsy
