I'm retired with spare time on my hands, so what better way to spend it than on genealogy! I want my ancestors to be remembered and findagrave is a great way to pass on information to the generations to come!

RE: John C. Troeger
If he is, it's distant. I only know the line back to my great grandfather who came over from Germany. I know there are probably a dozen or so Troegers buried around Highland.

Horwath - Forest Hill - Utica
Cheryl - I have submitted some edits for the Horwath family, giving the Plot and Lot numbers of their graves.

Could you please accept these edits? I'l be glad to look for the graves and photograph them when the snow clears.

Having the Plot and Lot location on the Find A Grave site makes it easier for me to search for the graves.

RE: Howarth
You are very welcome. Yes the stone has been very weathered. I used a very gentle water and Dawn soap to remove surface dirt, but did not do any rubbing.

I also updated the CPS coordinates to the exact site of the grave, rather than the cemetery gate.

Please let me know if I can assist you any further. I live 10 minutes from Forest Hill and walk through there 3 - 4 times a week.

Best regards,

William Ashcroft - Forest Hill
Yesterday I did my first seach for Mr Ashcroft's grave. I was unable to find it, but am goign to try again. Plot 22 is a medium sized plot and there are several fallen, face-down stones and many that are weathered beyond beiing readible.

I will try again.

Best regards,

Rhuhamma Sprague Mix
We are cousins! My great, great grandmother is Rhuhamma's daughter, Sarepta Johnson Rhodes who married Beachum Rhodes. My Great Grandfather was Milton Rhodes. Grandfather was Eugene Rhodes and my Mom was Elma Louise Rhodes Clyde. I'm Carolyn Louise Clyde Dolan, but friends call me Cari.
I've written a book about Beachum and Sarepta's daughter, Myrtle Rhodes Latta and her husband, Reid Latta. It focuses on the 1930's era in Kansas City, Missouri with political boss Tom Pendergast, KC Mafia Leader John Lazia and Uncle Reid's "suicide!" It's called "Pendergast's Retaliation, a True Cold Case File." Available at most libraries and through Barnes and Noble as book or ebook and if you google the book title you can see all of our publicity and other places that carry the book.
I'm a member of the Wyandot Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution through the Sprague Line. If you're interested in becoming a member, feel free to email me at I'm serving a three-year term as Regent of our Chapter. That's the same as President.
It's always great to meet another family member! Glad you like the photos of Rhuhamma. I'm intrigued by her life's story.

RE: Howarth
Sure, I can try to find info at the society, depending on what your looking for. You would have to give me as much about the person as you can as far as name, birth, death, etc.
