Born, raised and educated in Staples, Minnesota, but my heart will always be at home in Portland, Oregon. Became interested in genealogy in 1992, and soon developed an interest in history and its role in my Heritage, much to the dismay of my History teacher. Prior to genealogy I didn't care if Washington crossed the Deleware or drowned in the middle of it. Through genealogy I have discovered and acquired a copy of the Pension papers awarded to my 4th great-grandfather, Abiathar Waldron, for his service to the country during the Revolutionary War. (I'm now greatful that George didn't sink.)
