My name is Brenda Kale Ballard and I started researching my ancestry after my father passed away in 2008. I am very interested in genealogy and am currently in the process of constructing a family tree. |
Please feel free to use any pictures of tombstones that I added to Find A Grave which were taken by me. I feel that if the information provided can help someone find their "roots" it is well worth the effort of uploading the pictures.
If you find errors or duplicates of my memorials, please click on the "Edit" tab on the memorial. Then click on the "Suggest a correction" link on the Edit page. Follow the instructions to submit your correction. If you choose to leave a request for correction or transfer directly on my contributor page, be sure to include the memorial ID # of the memorial to be updated and your contributor ID # if you are requesting a transfer. I will gladly transfer a memorial to immediate family members only. At the time of the request, please identify your relationship with the person you want transferred to you. Many of the memorials I create are people who are either in my husband's tree or mine. Therefore, if you request one of those memorials, I will not be able to accommodate you.
My husband and I love to photograph cemeteries in both Cabarrus and Stanly Counties. Thus far, in Cabarrus County, we have photographed all of Cold Springs United Methodist Church, Saint Martin Lutheran Church, Saint Paul United Methodist , Furr Family Cemetery, Paul Furr Family Graveyard, John Reed Cemetery, and Tucker Cemetery. In Stanly County, we photographed all of Loves Chapel & Loves Grove Methodist Churches, Oakboro Cemetery, Mission Baptist Church, Flat Rock Lutheran Church, and Locust Presbyterian. We love to document the final resting places of those who came before us and hope that this will help others in their ancestry search.
I am a retired teacher who taught school for 30 years in three counties in North Carolina. I earned a BA in Elementary Education with a concentration in Language Arts and a Masters of Education (MED) degree. I also earned my National Board Certification in 2001 as a Middle Childhood Generalist.
I am learning that genealogy can be quite addictive!

Yes, my contributor # is 49251769. Please transfer mama's memorial to me. I don't know what that means as far as what I am able to do once it is transferred. I'm new at this, any information is certainly welcomed.

Jerry, Thank you for your help. I am still trying to sort things out on my end, and you're right, it is confusing. If I cannot sort through it, I will indeed give you a call. Thank you for the offer. Scott Culp

Hello. I saw in your bio that you said you love photographing cemeteries in Cabarrus & Stanly counties. Well I've got great great great grandparents buried in Stanly County, on Find A Grave, but no grave photo. I was just wondering if you could please get a photo of their graves for me? I'd do it myself but I can't drive & I don't really have a way. But anyway, they are buried in Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery in New London, NC. I would really appreciate it. Their names are William Thomas Waisner & Virginia Emma Bean Waisner. If you're unable to, that'll be fine. Thanks!

I am sorry I haven't been on findagrave in a long time. You can transfer the names. Do I need to do anything to help? I hope you're doing well also!

You have a note on the site that indicates that she is the w/o A. Marion Hasting. Find A Grave #21884297 for Buna's husband says that his name is Arthur Marvin Hasting. Which is correct? Also do you have any genealogy for the Kiser family from which the Hasting family married into? Would love more info if you can share.

Your memorial for her has been duplicated by memorial #81612154 in the same cemetery.
Thought you might want to follow through.

Hi Brenda, thanks for moving her page. I sent an edit to remove William as her husband and it was accepted today. So everything is right now. Thanks for your help. Have a good evening.

Thanks so much for linking up my Great Grandfather's Children. Its good to have that done.
|david sloan||RE: Linkages needed for Great Aunts & Uncles|
The request is not for a transfer. It is to approve the linkages I have requested. I provided Memorial Numbers and linkage requests. They should show up on your site. If they have't, let me know and I will resubmit them.
|david sloan||Linkages needed for Great Aunts & Uncles|
