I am a former Followers of Christ Church Member. I feel like I have become a refugee in a foreign land. You have to give up your family, your friends, community. The people that you have left behind see that its Your choice. You have chosen to give up the only possible chance at eternal salvation on the planet.

I started tracing my family roots because, somewhere in my family I know there is sanity that didnt get connected with this belief system.

BTW I am living a moral life outside of the church. Its a bit scarey and lonesome at times, but I have a loving husband and great kids and we are making it.
update: i am not feeling so much like a refugee anymore. Everything is well. :) (10/1/2015)
