I currently reside in Malden, Mo. Have lived in Southeast Missouri for the last 25 years. My mother and father are Louis and Lena McCoin. They both were born in Clarkton, Mo. They grew up together, but both married others and moved on. After getting divorced both met again in St. Louis, Mo. and were married. I was born in St. Louis. My father became a federal firefighter and we moved to Stoutland, Mo. I lived there until I graduated from the Univ. of Mo. in Columbia. In 1984 I moved to Southeast Mo. and started working as a social worker for the Mo. Children's Division. I continue to work as a supervisor.

My mother enjoyed searching for her family history until her death. I traveled with her to Kentucky and Tennessee search grave sites, libraries and court houses for family history. I love to visit cemeteries as alot ofhistory can be learned from them.
