I majored in history and English, and am a teacher of highly gifted students and a church historian. Most of my genealogical work is done from June through August, and I am particularly interested in family relationships. A few of my memorials are those connected to our church's history; others are those who lie in abandoned, relocated or unmarked graves, including many in Stanly County who were moved when Badin Lake was constructed.
I particularly enjoy linking family members and am always happy to transfer a closer relative to your care. I am very grateful to others who have done so much work in transcribing graves. As a teacher, I welcome historical information and documentation that continues to shape our understanding of who our ancestors were, and I appreciate those who are willing to help me learn from my mistakes and who are gracious enough to accept help on those rare occasions when I can help someone else learn.
