I am the daughter of Elvin Eugene and Varline Dora Schneider Montier. I have been married to Jerry N. Gililland for 43 years and have two sons and six grandchildren. We are retired and live in the Texas Hill Country.

After retiring and moving to Texas, I began researching family for both my husband and myself. Among the covered over graves in the Teague Cemetery were found three of my husband's family members. Thomas Eastland Dawson, Sarah Curbo Dawson, and Nicholas Henry Dawson who was killed and scalped by indians in 1870.

My husband is also a descendant/relative of Nicholas Mosby Dawson, William Mosby Eastland,and Robert Moore Eastland who are buried at Monument Hill, in LaGrange, Texas and John Singleton Mosby as well as Lewis Johnson who is buried at the Alamo.
