Information on Find A Grave helps people in many ways. One way is to identify some of their relatives and to contribute to personal memorials. It is difficult for many people to visit all their relatives' graves and this gives them an opportunity to do so over the internet.

I have helped publish two books about cemeteries. They are

#1 Owensburg Cemetery, Greene County, IN.
#2 Mount Olive Cemetery, Lawrence County, IN.

One copy of the book about Mount Olive is in the Lawrence County Historical Museum in Bedford, Indiana. I don't know if there are any copies available of the book about Owensburg. You would have to contact the Cemetery Association about that.

My efforts on both books were to help fund cemetery upkeep and to preserve a history of the people buried at those cemeteries. I would never have become interested in cemeteries if it hadn't been for my husband, Morris Hudson. He spent many hours helping take care of Owensburg Cemetery and I helped him. I dedicate my efforts on both books to him.
