Bio

My name is Tonya Avants (Toni) I have been doing geneology for about 10 years now. Grave Finders helped me find a lost relative, and I have been so gratefull to them. I am 52 I live in Enid Oklahoma and I would love to help out people to find there loved one and to send a photo. I know how it feels inside to finally see the real grave. I am married of 17 years I have 3 boys, a granddaughter and a grandson. I hope that at least one of my sons will get into geneology, to keep the family going. If you would like for me to try and help you find a loved one I would be honored. It is 2010 and I am now going on my first grave search for grave finders, I am nervous but so excited to know I will be helping others. This is something I guess I was met to do in my life, research my own family and help grave Finders. After years of research and hitting dead ends, then BAM finding what your looking for is just a great warm feeling of acomplishment. So if I can help put a smile or sigh of relief on 1 persons face I will be so happy. For years I have been into taking photos of stones, at first just to help me decide what stone I want to have. And to have the photo with my family history. Now I am so drawn to go walk around a cemetary and snap photos, study the dates and in time they are like a part of me like family. Alot of times I will walk around and put flowers on graves that I can tell have not had family around for a long time. The little boy buried next to my grandfather for the last 52 years had never been decorated. So for many many years it has been our family tradition to always decorate his grave too. The little boy is never without flowers or a toy. " He is family" So thanks grave finders for all you do to make this all possible. And for all the hard work and compassion is so wonderfull.
