I am doing family research on surnames: |
My interest: FATHER side; Eikenbary, Carter, Schropp, Roberts, Marks, Boswell, Crawford, Williams, Landis, McClure, Groff, Webster, Stillwagon, Young, Cassel, etc.
MOTHER side; Wilson, Melton, Reed, Whitney, Rees, Greg, Gray, McCully, Emerson, Myers, Finlayson, Arcott, Wiles, Wells, Barker, etc.
My husband's interest: FATHER side; McGinley, Thalken, Sheridan, Franken, Keenan, McKinney, Beines, etc. MOTHER side; Huwaldt, Rieck, Golden, Feuring, Roberts, Groeber, Schmidt, Jamison, Wiese, Gropper, etc.
When adding to this site, I like to add as much information as I can find. In most cases I try to take a picture of every tombstone in the cemeteries I have visited. Found out if I didn't, later on they may have been "family".
My photos of tombstones maybe used elsewhere, just reference you found them on FAG, so other people may find this wonderful site.

I believe you mean married 1845 not 1945.

Thank you for your kind words. Lakey was my dads mother. Nolan was my fathers dad. He and lakey had 4 boys together befor divorce. My grandmother had Alzheimers and I miss her every day! Shes been gone now for almost 12 years. The last touching moment I shared with her was the summer before her death. She could barely keep her tired eyes open, she sat propped up with pillows in her wheel chair. My daughter was almost 2 and they never met until that day. We could barley wake her my cousins and I were all gathered around she looked up and she didnt recognize anyone but the moment she locked her eyes on gracie and I she immediately held out her hands for her and looked at her then me and begain to cry. I dont know if you believe in miracles, but she saw me that day she knew me one last time. She then in December passesd on. I was told they were going to run some test but I knew in my heart she was leaving and right at midnight I gook my daughter to her crib and said it was okay for her to go and I closed my eyes and then 2 minutes later I got a call she was gone. I miss both my grandparents and what I wouldnt give fir one more day, hug, or I love you

Thanks for the information! I am trying to trace his parents and the rest of his family. The problem is his dad is Clarence which is a common name and Davis is also very common. Do you have any info on his mother and father like where they are buried and mothers name. Thanks Loren Bender

Debbie, thanks for the edits. Myrtle and Fred's memorials have been transferred to you. Take care.

Thank you for the cemetery correction. I thought he was buried at Lone Star Cemetery. Pat
Hi Debbie - I recently photographed some headstones, and based on flowers you placed on some of the memorials, I thought you might be interested in Martha McGinnis McChristy #11109771, if you were trying to locate her. She's buried with her sister, Inez McGinnis, just a few small lots away from their parents, William and Carrie McGinnis. She was divorced from Elmer L. McChristy 23 May 1934 in Denver, CO. Or, perhaps you already know all this. (-: Just thought I should touch base, since it's often hard to track down women because of the name change with marriage. Take care, Amy
