When I founded the "Turnpaugh Genealogical Research Project established 1931", it was in honor and memory of my late grandfather, Walter Scott Turnpaugh, Sr. The initial TURNPAUGH, JEFFERIES and GEIGER portions of this research, originating in the 1950s & earlier, are the sole research of my grandfather, who gave me his original handwritten research in 1974. Since 1974, I have continued his research within not only the TURNPAUGH, JEFFERIES and GEIGER lineages and other paternal lines, but additionally into my maternal lineage. In late 2014, trunks containing family materials were discovered & are being digitized, including photographs, letters, bibles & genealogical records prepared by early TURNPAUGH family researchers.
