My name is Melody.
I am a single parent of 2 and I live in Virginia.
I started doing this because this site has assisted me so much in finding my ancestors so I could create my family tree.
I am researching the BUCHANAN'S, ASHBAUGH'S & HABERSTICH'S of OH & PA, WHITTENBERGER'S of PA, the RIGGS' & the HASTINGS'of NC, the CRIGER'S of VA & MO, and the Briley's & the Richert's of MI, and the Roetker's & Knepfle's of OH.
All this research and detective work is right up my alley, I think I missed my calling.

Diane Merten
spouse of Marian Vesta Bayley Buchanan
You show a wonderful picture of the grave marker for Marian Vesta Bayley Buchanan, Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Memorial # 41745869. She is the wife of Edwin Porter Buchanan as shown on the grave marker. However, the data shown on her site says she was married to Edward Proctor Buchanan, buried in Washington Cemetery, Washington County, Pennsylvania. Memorial #78560798, created by someone other than you which also has incorrect information about Marian Vesta Bayley Buchanan being wife to Edward Proctor Buchanan. Don't know how the error started but please make your necessary corrections and I shall write the creator of Edward's memorial. Edward Proctor Buchanan was still single in 1942.

Kindest regards and thank you for all your hard work.

Melody, Please take a look at this cemetery. A number of the people listed in the Baptist Church Cemetery [Where Regenia Turner Buffalo was listed] are actually buried here. I don't know who fouled this little cemetery up, but it's just plain wrong. grace

Eliza Walton's headstone

Thank you for posting your photograph of Eliza (nee Walton) Boler's headstone. She and Wesley Boler were my great-great-great-grandparents. Your efforts creating memorials and posting photos of headstones will help many researchers over time.

May I use your photograph of Eliza (nee Walton) Boler's headstone in my genealogy?

Thank you.

Haberstich families in Pennsylvania
Hi - I see you're researching the Haberstich families in Pennsylvania. I have an extensive family history (well-sourced) that goes back all the way to William, Donald & Cindy Haberstich's great-great-great grandfather Bernhardt Haberstich who left Switzerland to settle in Pennsylvania in the mid to late 1850's. I'm happy to share all of this with you, including photos & documents. Just email me at :-)

RE: Cemeteries
Added the info to the transcription. Thanks for sending the info, I always like to know who is in the unmarked graves. : )

When are you coming back up this way? We have over 80 cemeteries on the Camden site now and you might know of some I can't find or that I don't know exist.

Thanks I found the ones you mentioned plus more. I will be adding them to my site: and you can find the cemetery listings here:
I am working on straightening out all the Forbes that you have listed in the Forbes Cemetery on Pond Rd. Some of the ones you have listed there are in other cemeteries. If you want we can email and get everyone put in the proper cemeteries and I can add photos for the ones you need.
Next time you come this way let me know and maybe we can get together and I can show you where the various Forbes are buried.
