I have been doing genealogy work for more years than I am willing to admit. My daughter says that one of the things she learned from me is that "Cemeteries are Fun!" I consider myself a family genealogist. Most of my research has been done on my Chandler family, because my grandmother was one of my favorite persons. But I have also researched the allied families of Baker, Bonnifield, Burleson, Clark, Curley, Green, Hogg, McCombs, and Stewart. My mother was German and I have entered photos from German cemeteries for my Theobald and Schwarz ancesters. Also Samuelson and Stanley for my husband. I enjoy Find-A-Grave because much of my early genealogy work was done in cemeteries. Not all headstones are correct but at least you know that person existed and where they were most likely laid to rest. There is comfort in things that are "written in stone".
