I am researching the Hicks, Dunlap, Ozment, Wright, Gaskins, Dinkins and related families of Weakley, Henry, and Benton Counties in Tennessee. I grew up in and have returned home to live in Weakley County, Tennessee.

Please check out my virtual cemeteries of Gleason High School Alumni, one for each of the GHS Classes of 1940-1959. There were no yearbooks before the late 1940s. We are eagerly seeking composite class photos, class lists, and any other bits of school history prior to that time.

I also have created a virtual cemetery for former faculty, coaches, principals, secretaries, lunchroom staff, custodians, and bus drivers for Gleason School from its earliest days, as well as its predecessor, the Masonic Male and Female Institute. This virtual cemetery also includes the teachers and principals of the former one- and two-room country schools in the area. If you have any information about or photos of the old country schools, please reach out to me.

This is an ongoing project for the Gleason School Alumni Association. I will be adding virtual cemeteries for additional class years. I encourage you to upload any photos, obituaries, or other information you may have for individual memorials. Please do not hesitate to share your input, suggestions, and questions regarding this community project.

FindaGrave is a worldwide community effort with 210 million memorials contributed to daily by thousands of volunteers. Welcome!
