John (Ned) Washington Morris FAG Memorial
In regards to my request for edit of middle name addition to this memorial, I take this stance.
I grew up across the street from the Morris Family (Melvin Leone). I have known the Morris Family all my life. My brother married Helen Viola Morris, whose father was Andrew George > Charles Ellsworth > Henry M. > John (Ned) Washington Morris
My niece (my sisters daughter) married Albert Mern Morris, whose father was Melvin Leone (Andrew's brother)>Charles Ellsworth > Henry M. > John (Ned) Washington. My wife's nephew Jeff Phillips married the 4x great grandaughter of John (Ned) Washington Morris.
John (Ned) Washington Morris was one of the first early settlers of the new Union Township, Auglaize County, Ohio, after the Indians departed to their new land to the west.. This part of Auglaize County, used to be a part of Allen County. He settled 140 acres in the southwest quadrant of Section 30, Union Township. Part of this ground still belongs to the Morris family.
John (Ned) Washington Morris came to Ohio from Virginia around 1832 with his wife Mary Ann Clarkson. Their first born son, John Washington Morris, ( b. Nov. 9, 1833) was the first white child born in Union Township. John (Ned) Washington Morris was the first Justice of the Peace in Union Township. This son bought some land about 5 miles east of the original family
plot and settled there. John Washington Morris is buried in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Find A Grave #25360485, which is just a short distance north and east of his family home, where he lived and died.
I and the family know the name of the person who is buried under that monument is John (Ned) Washington Morris. That is what is important, it is not important whether you believe it or not.
I understand your wanting to be correct with your information. I can also understand with 22,000 memorials to look after everyday, it must keep you busy, with all the research you are doing everyday to ensure what is under your management is correct. When adding those 22,000 memorials to Find A Grave, did you do any research (other than cemetery records) that the name on the headstone is correct or the dates engraved on the monument reflect the correct birth and death dates? Do you know sometimes the actual date on the death certificate sometimes doesn't agree with the date on the stone?
I am only concerned, myself, with family members and a few close friends and acquaintances. I do my homework, and research, and make every attempt to be factual for my own memorials, and my own satisfaction and gratification. However, I am the first to admit, I am human and make mistakes.
Like I said, we know the name of the person under the headstone, and could care less whether you choose to believe it or not.
I would challenge you to produce evidence and prove to me and the family, the name of the person associated with that monument and grave record's name is not John (Ned) Washington Morris.
If you don't want to change it, then YOU should prove why it shouldn't be changed.
Thank you for your time.
I remain respectfully
Dave

RE: Miles Welton Photo Request Memorial # 107770226
I sent her a message saying I found Nancy & Miles in Rosedale Cemetery thanks to information provided by another member and that there were pictures of their gravestones. Hopefully she will delete both Nancy and Miles in Grace Episcopal Cemetery.

I also informed her other members of the family that are buried in Rosedale. Funny thing is when I looked at her links on her Miles, she had Albert, who is in Rosedale linked to him. The Miles in Rosedale has no links to family so I will put in edits to his manager there -

Thanks again for your effort.

Miles Welton Photo Request Memorial # 107770226
I just wanted to thank you for you trouble in trying to find the headstones of Miles and Nancy (Graves) Welton as listed in the Grace Episcopal Church Cemetery. Through another members information, I did find another listing for them in Rosedale Cemetery and there were the picture of their shared headstone.

RE: Re Eulonda Longwell
Sharon,
Her obituary states that she will be buried beside her husband at a later date. Perhaps that has not happend yet and that could explain the delay in getting the engraving done???

I sent an edit for the middle name on this memorial page. I had photo requests for this memorial and the Find A Grave member who fulfilled that request found the information in the caretakers records in the cemetery office. I am not a descendent so I don't have any other information on him. He was the step-grandson of my gggrandfather. Just passing along the information.
