I am a full time librarian and a when-I-have-the-time hobbyist graver.|
My father was an avid fan of Find a Grave and he introduced me to this site before he passed away in 2008. Memorial # 46644773
You can feel free to use creative commons with the photos I take if you'd like to use them in your genealogy or family history projects. (But please do not add my photos to other websites without giving proper credit).
Unless they are in my Virtual Family Cemetery, THEN I HAVE NO INFORMATION ON THE PEOPLE OF THE MEMORIALS THAT I MAINTAIN OTHER THAN THEIR BURIAL LOCATION.
I LOVE to find relatives and homes for the memorials I manage, so IF you see a memorial you'd like TRANSFERRED, I'm more than happy to do so, just put in the request via the "EDIT" option. (Will transfer ANY except those in my Family Virtual Cemetery). ***Also, to expedite edits please use the EDIT tab that Find a Grave provides in the upper right hand corner of all memorials. "Suggested corrections" should be used for transfer requests or other edits that are not options under the EDIT tab.***
Please do not send me requests to change the entry of MAIDEN name for Males whose name origin indicates that they are LATINO. This name is often their mother's maiden name and used for lineage purposes. Maybe a suggestion would be for Find A Grave to add an entry space for this.
My family lines are Schmidt/Wassem and Johnsen/Hale. My husband's family lines are Alves/Carvalho and Bacellar/Huet.

|Janice Edens Pilling||memorial for # 85853559 Kirsten Elizabeth Broberg|
I received a note that there are two memorials for this great aunt of mine. I see that Chris Mills created his about the same time I created mine. I added all the links to her family and I see that the memorial that Chris transferred to you has none. I also see that we cannot just merge the memorials. It is suggested that one of us delete a memorial. It would be easier to ask you to delete yours as you nave none of the links. So I am asking if you would delete the memorial # 85853559 for Elisa Kirsten Hansen Broberg. I remember my mother taking me to Aunt Eliza's funeral when I was a young girl. It is the first funeral I ever attended and I remember the radio playing "Unchained Melody" on our way home and wondering how long it would be till we saw her again.

Memorial# 85916163. Saw you have taken over this memorial. Not sure if she is a family member or yours or not but have posted information about her in the "Leave a Note/Flower" section of her Memorial. I have more information on her children's children etc. Feel free to contact me at my email address on my Profile page if you wish to know more.

she married 2nd. in 1911 William Russell Hess, mem.#85890547.

|Justin Masters||Question about Marie C Printup|
I noticed you had a findagrave entry for Marie C Printup...
I have a very tangled, but pretty well documented path backwards for her, but (one of her husbands - she had MANY) is listed as Joseph Dudley Printup (on familysearch.org), with his parents (on familysearch) being listed as George Guy Printup and Elena Rycraft. I think this may be wrong (despite marriage records for Joseph stating such) https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/L6NR-LB7/details Unless there's an additional name of Henry Printup that is not being used.
The basis for this is a 1925 Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa Census that shows Joseph D Printup's father as Henry. (see https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-99XG-Z56H?i=816&cc=2224537 )
I can't read Joseph's mother's name - I think it says "Unknown", based upon surrounding lines/entries.
Anyway, I see you're a librarian, and if you're doing this family... you might like a good mystery. :-)
There some discrepencies around the 1910-1920/30 area. For instance, there's a reference to a marriage of Joseph's wife (surname Brown) but which conflicts with info I have of her marrying someone during that time to someone peripherally attached to my ancestors, which is how I stumbled on all this..
Hi Carolyn, I am so sorry there were so many!! I spent 3 hours there with Annemarie doing requests and randoms. I did not realize how many edits I actually sent. I hope I did not overwhelm you. I have well over 120k memorials and know at times they can get to be a bit much. Hope all is well with you. James

Would you kind transfer the above Memorials to me (#48287449) for Nathaniel Raymond Belcher #85849207 and Laura (Hammond) Belcher #85849205?
Uncle Nat was my Mom's Great-Uncle. He and Aunt Laura moved to LA from MA. I would greatly appreciate it.
And, a big thank you for all that you do for Find A Grave!

Carolyn... I am so sorry... I looked again and although I have an Uncle William U. Moulton and Aunt Fanny, they are not the same as the ones you have and you are very correct on the sibilings. Please excuse my quick judgement, but how many Uncle Bills and Aunt Fanny's can there be out there? Please accept my apology! Cathy Minett Murphy
