My research is mainly in Shine, Hall, McCay, Straley, Paynter, Reed, Collins, Barnett, Ballinger, Wolf, Phillips, Stafford family lines. Some of these lines start in Germany, Scotland- Ireland, and England. Some of the lines come to the US right after Jamestown from England, the ones from Ireland-Scotland come around 1700. The Germans come around 1740 and 1803. Many fought for their independence or religious freedoms in the USA or there Mother County.|

|N J Martin||RE: JOHN MATTHEW CARTMILL|
We are now trying to find where he died and where he was buried.
Will try to remember to let you know. The gal who had put him on took him off and when we find out I think she is going to put him back on in the correct cemetery. (If we ever find it).
|N J Martin||JOHN MATTHEW CARTMILL|
I notice that you left a msg for Lisa who put this person on Find A Grave. Woodward is just Woodward akd Woodward-Gwinn some call it Busby but I don't know of it ever really being that name. Anyway, my friend walked this cem and did a book. Never did she find any Cartmill in the cem.
There is a Cartmill on the Madison Co IN cem Commission website infant and I went to the Health Dept and found the name of that child and you can also find it on Ancestry. Her name was Mable Fern Cartmill d/o Wm Marion Cartmill & first wife Carepta Jane Ellis. This is the only Cartmill buried there per death records we went through and Madison Co Cem Commission. We could never find any others buried there. This little girl has not tombstone but there was a funeral home record for her which my friend had so she wrote just infant Cartmill on her records and we had no idea who she was until I found the death cert. The Mad Co Cem Comm has the death as 10/22/1889 but she act died the 22nd and was but 24th. I am going to put her in now I thought I had but I don't see it so I must have forgotten to do so.
Now John Matthew Cartmill was only 12 yrs old when he died and his parents both died in Henry Co IN and are buried in Mechanicsburg Cem. I would imagine that you would want to be buried in the same cem where you buried your child.
I had looked at some Cartmill Family records that someone had and it gave John's dates but not burial place.
To date we really don't know where John Matthew Cartmill is buried. One thing one could do is contact whoever takes care of Mechanicsburg Cem and see if they may have something on him there.
I spent many hours going over the Woodward-Gwinn Cem trying to make sure info was correct and I found a few that no one knew abt but no Cartmill other then Mable Fern.

Sherry the Memorial #29396035 for Mary Elizabeth Lorentz Bonnett is a duplicate of #6677315 which was dated in 2002. Both memorials have been linked to her husband Samuel and some of her children have been added to each of the two memorials. Could you merge these memorials? Thanks for the help.
|peppercorn||Mary Elizabeth Bonnett|
I believe the newer tombstone photo posted on her memorial #29396035, managed by you, to be the "new" tombstone of the first wife of her grandson Samuel. This Samuel is the son of Mary Elizabeth's son Jacob. Grandson Samuel's first wife was Eliza Singer who died 15 October 1819 after giving birth to their son Perry Green on 10 October 1819. There is a marriage record for Samuel and Eliza for 24 December 1818 in the Lewis County Marriage Records on page 4 of Vol. 1. The other old stone pictured appears to be for this same Eliza. Do you know the source of the photo? Samuel married secondly, Lucinda Fitzhugh Hooe on 5 December 1820.

Please check sites 6677315 and 29396035 for possible duplication. Thanks, Hilda
