Regarding transfers:
I DO NOT abide by Find A Grave's transfer guidelines, which I find to be used and abused by too many members.

I readily transfer memorials that are not my family members to a relative, ANY relative.

I also transfer to non-relatives that have knowledge of the individual. If you have gone to the trouble to research additional information about an individual and want information added or corrections made to the memorial, expect the memorial to be transferred to you.

My occupation required extensive travel throughout the United States, therefore 99% of my memorials are not local to my residence. I feel they are best left to knowledgeable local residents, relatives or not, if asked for.

I would ask and hope that any non-relative recipients of such transfers will in the future transfer the memorial to ANY relative of the deceased.

It is the right thing to do.

I have no interest in collecting memorials for the sake of collecting memorials.

Update: As of November 2019 I have transferred all memorials that are not related to me to an appropriate local individual or to Find A Grave. All remaining memorials I manage are related to me.
