I am a retired Navy officer and son of an Army officer. Started into genealogy following the death of my last grandmother and discovered the Find-a-grave site. The information I found on the site helped me break through some of the walls I had encountered and I decided to become a member.|
I am located in Jacksonville, Florida, so if anyone needs me to look up anything or take any pictures in my area, please feel free to ask.
I am a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Kirby-Smith Camp #1209. We work in a few of the cemeteries here in town. We also have excellent resources at the Museum of Southern History in Jacksonville and the main city library, if anyone needs me to check out some literature for family members.
I will gladly transfer any memorial to you so long as you are a closer relative than myself to that person. Or, if it is not a relative of mine, I will transfer it with no issues.
If you have any additional information or corrections, please send them to me and I will make the changes.

Your name is listed as having posted "Rosa Parson" to the Old St. Joseph's Cemetery. She was my great grandmother. My question is this: Did you get the information from the Immaculate Conception Church records or is there a gravestone in the cemetery. If there is a gravestone, could you take a photo for me? Also Josephine Parsons headstone if it exists. They should be together as they are mother and daughter. Also any other headstones which may be in the same lot.
Thank you in advance,

Mr. Patterson. would it be OK with you if i took over memorial # 83648106 , John D Hughes. He isn't exactly family, but he is as close as anything that doesn't actually share my DNA. I am a reenactor with the 7th NCST and Mr.Hughes was the original Quartermaster for the company. . i in turn am the Quartermaster who portrays him today. Its an honor to be able to allow him to live on through what we do.. and an honor to maintain his memorial as well. I plan a visit to him on this Saturday as we are having a Memorial day service there in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Thanks for your consideration.

You added the gravestone photo to Miles Jones Murphy memorial 55563650 in 2010. It would be nice if the photo were added to the memorials of the other family members listed on the gravestone. Their memorials are linked to Miles' memorial. Thank you for any help you can give to this matter.

on the bio on James S Roach you wrote he was son of Littleberry Roach and Jane Bell. There is hundreds of researchers that have been looking for Jane Bell's maiden name. Do you know where the name Bell came from. Was it just handed down thru generations or is there some source for this. I am a direct descendant of Littleberry and Jane, through Jeremiah Roach of Oconee Co, GA
Source would be wonderful to find after years of researching.
