Bio and Links
Bio Photo The majority of memorials created by Grand View Volunteers are for interments at Grand View Memorial Park & Crematory, Inc. in Glendale, Calif.

Initial records that were available for upload to FindAGrave contained only names and plot locations. Updating birth/death dates continue to be done based on inquiries, photo requests, and ongoing research. >99% of all Grand View interments were added as of 12/31/2010.

Updates to information or transfers to direct family members will happily be made, once the person/page is confirmed to be correctly identified. Since the original list used to upload did not have birth/death dates, transfers can only be made once those dates have been confirmed. If you are requesting transfer of a page that has not yet been updated, please provide the dates you believe are correct with your request. Those dates will then be cross-checked against Lot Sheets for interment date consistency, as well as other online records.

To provide information or request a transfer, please use the "Suggest A Correction (SAC)" link, located on the Edit Tab (upper right corner) of the page in question.

NOTE: By using the new tools to add or edit information for the following items will ensure faster edits!

* Birth/death date, birth/death place
* Relationship (parent and spouse links)
* Name

Using the "Suggest other Corrections" option will send an email message that includes links to both the memorial page as well as your Contributor ID so there will be no errors in updating or transferring the correct page. Don't forget to specify your relationship!

In fairness to those who may have closer ties to a memorial, transfer requests for pages that are outside FAQ Guidelines for required transfers will be considered on an individual basis.

Requesting Transfer of Memorial 47549733
Otho Bowman Staples is my great uncle. He does not have any direct descendants who could request transfer of the memorial.

I would make several edits and add a biography.

George Marion Cronk
Hello--I am researching George Marion Cronk who died on February 17, 1965 in Sylmar, CA. I am trying to determine if he is buried at Grand View or just cremated there before I add a memorial for him to find a grave. His death certificate says "cremation, 2-19-1965, Grand View Memorial Park." Since you have access to the cemetery records can you check this out for me?

Thank you, Pat

Pridell, Mila
Great to read of all the work you all have done. I too am doing a lot at my local cemetery (I do computer, others walk the site). Was researching a sibling of a veteran and was hoping to link. Came across a death certificate that shows this cemetery, but before I add a new listing, I thought I'd check to see if I could get help to find plot information. No listing was found in the online search.
Mila (Kramer) Pridell b. 25 Oct 1907 Richfield, Utah. Died 17 June 2003 in nursing home in Tujunga. Death certificate shows Grandview Memorial Park, Glendale, CA. Decedent was divorced.

RE: Laura Belle Spicely @ Grandview
Two follow-up questions :

1. Any idea what a pro-need or pre-need record is (on the Informant line) ?

2. What was the "whoops" on Grandview ??

Thanks for your help.

RE: What's this mean?
Thanks, his name is Luke Madigan, he died in 1915, memorial number is 47539776. I was going to order his death certificate (gambling that his son James knew the names of his father's Irish parents) but ordering it through LA might have been unsuccessful. My grandpa and I have been looking for every possible hint on Luke Madigan for years. We always hit a dead end pre-immigration.

What's this mean?
Hi, I've been trying to find things on my g-g-g grandfather. It says "compliance with death certificate requirements was not 100% prior to about 1920," on his memorial page and was created by this user. Could you explain to me what this means?
