I was born and raised in the Oak Grove Community of Washington Parish, Louisiana. My love for genealogy started over 20 years ago when i begin researching my father's family history.

A few years back, i spent several weeks in Effingham & Bullock County, Georgia, and surrounding areas of South Carolina, researching colonial records of the first Rester's to come to America.

I have collected numberous documents on the Rester's, and hope to put together a book some day. My search is ongoing, for there is so many Resters.

The Bio Photo i chose is of me at the Purrysburg Township Marker location in South Caroline where the first Rester's settled after arrival to America.

You probably noticed by now what my main interest is....
However, i will offer my services to take photos of tombs in cemeteries nearby, and provide any needed information I may have or know of local families.
