Hello, I wanted to say that Mary Margaret Mitchell Moulton and her husband Nathan David ate actually buried at Taylor Cemetery aka Old Mt Carmel Church Cemetary cemetary on Taylor road between Roberta and Musella . I see you have them listed here and it is actually 2 different cemeteries. Although very close to one another. Im trying to establish what church would have been the one that the people buried at Taylor would have belonged to. Thank ylu

RE: EZELL
Bob,
I actually met Ms. Shelton on a trip to Nashville many years ago and got a copy of her book then.

What I do believe is accurate is my branch starting with the brothers Rev. Balaam Ezell, Sr. and his brother William Ezell.
There is some dispute about the maiden names of Balaam and William's wives, but their wives were sisters.

I am keeping an open mind about the parents of Balaam and his brother William, and their ancestors, and their wives maiden name until DNA proves those for sure

Balaam's son Jeremiah married Williams's daughter Susannah. Jeremiah and Susannah then came to Davidson Co. by 1805. See Jeremiah's Bio on Find A Grave 176028407.

The childhood home of William Gee Ezell, Sr. is still standing and is the headquarters of a construction company. They completely restored the exterior of the house. I have a recent photo of it and need to add that to the Memorial of William Gee's father, Henry Clay Ezell, who built the home. I was able to tour the interior of this home back in the 1980's before the interior was converted to office space.

RE: EZELL Family
Bob,
My Source Documentation shows:
William Gee Ezell, Jr., 1905-1975, son of William Gee Ezell, Sr. and Bertie Vaughn,
married Sarah GRIMES (not Gaines), 1908-1984, daughter of William Robert GRIMES and Sarah “Sallie” B. IVY who had married in 1886 in Williamson Co., TN

The 1930 Census of Davidson Co., TN shows William Gee Ezell, Jr. and wife Sarah living in the household of his parents with a newborn (age 0) son listed as Bobby
.
The 1940 Census of Davidson Co., TN shows William Gee Ezell, Jr. as head of household, wife Sarah, son Bobby age 10, daughter Peggy (probably Margaret) age 8, and widowed mother Bert Ezell

Although I have no proof at this time, I do believe that this son Bobby was really named William Robert Ezell and he was named after Sarah’s father William Robert Grimes.

Sorry but I have no information about who this “Bobby” Ezell married.

Was your William Robert Ezell born in 1930 in either Davidson or Williamson Co., TN?

WARNING – Re Bertie Vaughn Ezell birth and death
I do not know the names of her parents nor her exact birth date or place. She was born about 1885 in TN.
ancestry.com LINKS Bertie Vaughn Ezell, wife of William Gee Ezell, Sr., to the Nashville City birth record of Bertel Vaughn on March 21, 1885 BUT this Bertel was African American. I have seen Family Trees on ancestry who copied this Bertel’s birth record into their Ezell Tree for "our" Bertie without looking at the column for “Race”

ancestry.com also LINKS “our” Bertie Vaughn Ezell to the Alabama death record and Find A Grave Memorial of a Bertha Vaughn who married a William McDonald Richardson in 1924 in Hickman Co., TN and then moved to Lauderdale Co., AL before 1910. This of course is also not “our” Bertie Vaughn Ezell either.

Also I do not have any Asa or Bernal individuals in my Ezell family database.

My mother was a 1st cousin to William Gee Ezell, SR but she moved to CA in the 1940’s and then lost contact with most of her Ezell cousins.
If you would like copies of any of my Source Documentation, please email me at jak.ish@verizon.net

FYI the photos of William Gee Ezell, Sr., and his wife Bertie and their son William Gee Ezell, Jr. that I posted of Find A Grave 101041262 are from my grandmother's photo album that I inherited. My grandmother was William Gee, Senior's sister Annie Lurline Ezell Hayes.. If you determine that you are related, please feel free to copy them.

Sincerely,
Kathleen Hill

William Gray #112348984
Bob, another contributor has located Willie's grave marker (see #159725517) where his wife Lillie Borders Gray is buried with a picture of his marker. As there are now two memorials for him, possibly you would like to communicate with the other contributor to combine the info (ie, pic of his marker).

54169495 Infant Son McCalla
Bob, I visited Ebenezer Cemetery in Ringgold, Georgia (Catoosa County) and found a monument for Infant Son McCalla dated 1909. Should this be a new listing or is there a chance the 1908 date of death is incorrect? I didn't want to add a new listing or post the photo to your listing without touching base. Happy hunting!

Thomas J Cheves
Memorial # 49559893 of Thomas J Cheves you state his middle name as Jefferson. How sure are you of that. I think it was James not Jefferson. I found this on the 1900 Forsythe Co, Ga. Census.
My great grandfather was a Cheves/Cheeves from Tenn.

Unmarked Grave
Hello,
We are trying to find an unmarked grave of Annetta Jane Love who died at 2 months old and is buried somewhere in the New Boynton Cemetery or now I think it is called Dailey Hills Cemetery. Do you know if there is a plat that we could look at to see where she is buried or do you have any contact information for this cemetery? I called the number that you have a picture of for Dailey Hills Cemetery and left a message for someone to call me back. If you have any information, it would be greatly appreciated as the family would like to put a headstone on her grave.

Thank you,
Shay
