Bio

I am addicted to genealogy and spend most everyday doing something to expand on my trees.
I live in Alberta Canada but have deep American roots in Missouri, South Carolina, Virginia, Iowa and the San Joaquin Valley in California.
I winter in Phoenix for part of the year. My father is Canadian my mother is American and was a landed immigrant in Canada.
I especially enjoy photographing cemeteries. I am very grateful for the many volunteer hours others have put in so I can have pictures of the headstones of my ancestors. As a way of paying it forward I have contributed to the Canadagenweb cemetery project with my husband.
I believe that family has the right to look after the Find A Grave files on their family members -family may not have had the time to create the file before a stranger does and that is very unfortunate. I only had to duplicate one file because the person who had nothing to do with our family wouldn't give it up and had lots of errors on the file-talk about control!! I have lots to do just maintaining my own family trees and FAG let alone creating a bunch of files on people that have no connection to me whatsoever. If I request a transfer on one of my family members I would hope it would be graciously upheld and I will do the same.
