I've been exploring my family roots for many years. I've found participating on Find a Grave enjoyable and educational. I love discovering my extended family, both my living cousins, and those who have gone before.|
Please do not copy, or post to any website, any of the photographs or biographical information that I've added to Find-a-Grave Memorials. Please ask if you would like to use them in your personal genealogy files and then give credit for the source. Thank you.

|Ken Rockwell||Edward and Lillian D. Seffens|
It's nice that someone arranged for a marker for my great-grandmother, Lillian Dell Seffens, in the Rosemont Cemetery... but she wasn't actually buried there. She died in Santa Barbara, Calif., was cremated, and her ashes spread over the Santa Barbara Channel near Anacapa Island, from a small plane piloted by my father. And her husband, Ed Jr., died in El Monte, California, and was buried there; he didn't get shipped back to Pueblo, though his parents' monument includes a memorial for him.
|Ken Rockwell||Georgie Seffens and others, Pueblo, Colo.|
Georgie Seffens, born and died Dec. 10, 1912, was not a child of Edward and Lillian Dell Seffens, my great-grandparents. But I think I know who the parents were: Ed’s brother Ira S. and his wife Carrie (memorial nos. 53997516 and 59879254). Note that Carrie died three days after Georgie. And the 1910 census shows that she had had three children by then, only one of whom was still living. There was another who died young after that and before Georgie: Ira Jr, memorial no. 170390271.
Upshot is that the statement that Ira and Carrie had one child, should read “one surviving child.” That child was Edna A. Seffens (memorial no. 28370994), listed as one month old in the 1910 census, and present in subsequent censuses.

Hi Martha, Thank you so much for expressing interest in one of the Elks members resting in Bedford. If you would, please kindly submit updates to his record at your convenience. I'm always curious as to the roots of of the Elks.
I'll see if I can find a copy of her obit -- I removed James as a spouse for now -- thanks

|Danielle||Seitz & Nickerson Family|
Hello! My fiancé and I bought our first home about 5 months ago and in researching the history, I discovered it was built by William & Mary Seitz. After they passed, the house belonged to their daughter Louise and her husband Charles William "Todd" Nickerson. I recently found their graves in Montrepose and paid my respects. I love the pictures you have shared of Louise, "Todd", and their daughters Doris and Ruth. If you have any other photos of them, Mr. & Mrs. Seitz or possibly the former family home in Abruyn Street in Kingston I would love to see them! I also found some interesting things in the attic! Thank you, and have a wonderful day!
