Bio

I have been a findagrave member since 2010. I have been interested in my family genealogy for a couple of decades now, and have actively been working on writing a family history. The names I am most actively researching are Myers, Nash, Yeakel (or Yeakle), Evans, Palme, Janak, Fink, Wallner, Sirk, Lamprecht. Other names include Shaffer, Huston, Yarnall, Urffer, Fretz, Rosenberger, Hobza and Krtek.

I have also been researching my wife’s genealogy, including the names Walker, Whatley, Russell, Brown, Howren and Jasper.
The Nash family I am researching lived in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and are descendants of Joseph Nash son of John Nash and Ann Colley Nash who were very early residents of Philadelphia.

My Myers family line are descendants of Henry Meyer who was born in Switzerland in 1724 and came to Pennsylvania at the age of 1. He married Barbara Miller (Müller) who was born 1727.

The Palme family came from Bohemia in 1883 and settled in New Bedford, MA.

The Wallner family are descendents of Peter Wallner and Juliana Lamprecht Wallner of Halbenrain, Austria. Their son Anton immigrated in 1882 and also settled in New Bedford.

I had an occupational connection to cemeteries that goes back to my college days in the 1960's, when I worked for the Duxbury, MA Cemetery Department in the summers to help pay my way through school. The cemeteries I helped maintain were Mayflower Cemetery, Ashdod Cemetery, Dingley Cemetery, Smith Tomb and Standish Burial Ground.

Beyond cemeteries, I earned a BS Degree in Applied Math at Georgia Tech, had a career in software development, and a lifelong passion for drawing and painting, largely inspired by Otto Palme and his sister Evelyn Palme Eastwood. Also married with two grown children and two grandchildren. I am currently living in Marietta, Georgia.
