Murphy 20, 1306 @ StL Cavlary

Sorry this lot is not well marked, the only Murphy is the Mom. But even her, only has her name.

As usual, please see the caption.

RE: Virginia Murphy
Hi Lynette!

I have transferred this memorial to you, since you are working on the Murphy family. I have already added the obit you sent.

You are welcome for previous work.

I have been trying to add any Murphy I find at Resurrection or Mount Olive. I hope some of them may be your family.

Best wishes!

Murphy 24, 1019 @ StL Calvary

I have posted a picture for them, and updated Virginia. I sort of remember that. It was a pretty warm day, it was nice older couple or small group, but i was off 3. so I have changed her Pic.

This time it was easier, Ironically Lavin was also requested 24, 1020. and I had it marked out on the map before hand. You should ask the cemetery to send you a map of that section. You can see how much fun it is. They will send you a copy of any of the maps or lot cards that you want.

The lot cards do not typically have more info that exact grave number within the lot and the lot owner, than you can get online. But it is just kind of cool to have.

Infant naming
That is a hard one.
Some prefer Infant, some baby, some child, some Unknown.

Adding the sex, well same thing: some prefer middle name, some part of the first, some in the bio.

Personally, I like Infant Sex Surname, easier to accept the edit. Unless the person closer in age to a year or more, then Child, rather than Infant.

RE: Reiser/Reisser Photos
My grandpa came here from Germany and i was told that when he came to this country that if they had two of the same letter they didn't need the extra letter so when he naturalize they drpped it, hope that helps some.

RE: Theresia Reisser Photo
your very welcome, I have found that Reisser is common among those buried there with the Cemetery records different, I'm curious also I thought about inquiring in the office about the discrepancy. will let you know the out come.

You have requested a photo of a stone for the above mentioned at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. I have been there and looked. Could not find him. This week I went into the office with the find a grave print out and asked them about him. According to them he is not buried in the cemetery. One of his siblings Clyde Claude Murphy 1921-2007 is buried there. The memoria was posted by Clyde A Murphy on Nov 5 2012. He must be related to the family. I will try to contact him and see if he has any other information I can research to find him.

RE: Friderici Photos
In the records for New St. Marcus, it said that Max was originally buried at Old St. Marcus then was relocated to New St. Marcus. Old St. Marcus is now a park. There was a note in the microfilm I looked at that said 9/27/77. I took this to be the reburial date but I'm not sure. I'm fairly sure that the 1926 date was his original burial date. When people are reburied, I very seldom find a headstone. You were lucky on this one.
