I'm now a 72 year old retired construction manager who worked all over the United States. I'm Florida born and consider myself a "Florida Cracker". My family as well as my wife's family is what I call "Old Florida". I enjoy history and genealogy and supporting my Southern heritage. |

I would like to thank you and SCV Camp 1284 for cleaning the grave and re-erected the old headstone of my 3rd Great Grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Lamb (Find A Grave Memorial# 17154052)
back in January. His son, William Thomas Lamb (Find A Grave Memorial# 20500020) is my 2nd Great Grandfather. My family and I greatly appreciate the very good job you and the SCV are doing to preserve the true history of our ancestors. If any of my cousins in Fort Meade knows about this, I know they appreciate it too. I am glad there are at least some people you do good in our cruel world. I saw that you are one of my Friends on Find A Grave, but I don't remember adding you. You must have added me because you realized I was a descendant of Thomas Jefferson or you may have seen me post something on one of my other ancestor's pages? I hope you and the SCV keep the good work up! God Bless and Deo Vindice!
Emory William Smith

Don,I'm so appreciative of your time and trouble. I'm in no rush and I do understand other projects. Thank you so much, I'm coming to Arcadia next month so hopefully I'll have better luck on research in person. Sincerely,Tania

I was just wondering if you have any info on Hiram Williams Jr's father? I can't find nothing on him after his marriage to Julia North Rivers, not even a death record. I've heard family rumors but other than that, nothing. Hiram Sr is my gg grandfather.I'd appreciate whatever you can. Hiram Sr has been very frustrating researching. Sincerely,Tania

Thanks for checking! I removed the memorial until I find out for sure where he is buried.

Thank you for the msg. I added a "flowers" remark to memorial indicating it is an unmarked grave. I don't know if the manager of the memorial is active or not.
I appreciate the time that you took to obtain the photo for 'Reverend Bill Javane'.
Thank-you, so very much !!!
