I am so impressed with the concept behind Find A Grave. I believe that all individuals deserve to have their final resting place remembered and memorialized.|
I have added memorials to this site for persons that I am in no way related. If you are, please request a transfer. Family transfer request are a huge encouragement to me. I feel like I have helped another family find their loved one. Memorials that have never been claimed by family or friends make me sad.
Thank you to all of those contributors out there that have helped me by memorializing my family members. You have honored them and I appreciate it!
I believe that individuals should be memorialized and that most of them would like to be remembered with their family. It is one of my goals to link as many family members together as possible. Family links have saved me a lot of time and helped me find family members that didn't know ever existed. When I add a family, I feel like I have honored not only the individual but the whole family.
Let's help the next family member or researcher that visits a memorial by adding all the family links that we know. When family members are not linked, it makes the next person do the research all over again. Also, if we have the information, let's use it before it is forgotten.
I also believe that family links make this site easier to use. The easier it is to use, the more it will be used and the better it will get.
Thank you Find A Grave for providing a platform for us to memorialize and honor our family and friends that have passed.

A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent an edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy
New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page. Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.
Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it and possibly change correct info.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.

Your knowledge of this family suggests you may be related. I have a DNA connection but can't find parents for my Enoch Mingus (1822-1877). It appears it isn't Daniel, but perhaps a cousin. Can you help? Thanks.

I am sorry to advise you that there is no marker in Section 5, Lot 215 of the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery for Thomas Long. Rather than simply reporting that there is no marker, I will use a photo that shows the empty space in Lot 215 to fulfill your photo request. There will be a descriptive caption with the photo (need to click on the photo to see the caption). If you are not satisfied with the photo, please let me know and I will remove it.

I saw your picture request. Are you sure that she is buried in the Vincent Mennonite Cemetery? Here is a list of graves that was compiled in 1914. I don't see her on the list.

I thank you for creating memorials for many and the active role you play in FIND A GRAVE. The concept is spectacular and one that has given me much joy as well as countless hour of enjoyment and bits of information. I am the great-granddaughter of Lydia MEGLI YOST, and the great-great-granddaughter of Joseph and Elizabeth LUCKHARDT MEGLI and Peter and Fannie OYER (misprint on gravestone) YOST.
Would you please transfer their memorials to me? I would appreciate this greatly and have photos as well as more information that could be added to their memorials. Thank you for this kind consideration.
