Bio

My interest in genealogy began long before I had the time to do very much with it but I started by gathering information in 1993 from my grandparents. Then my cousin took my information in 2001 and really completed the maternal side of my family tree. That left my paternal side unfinished. My great-grandmother, Bessie Spurgeon Horn, was an avid collector of family obituaries and newspaper articles. I began scanning them into my computer and slowly started making some sense out of the connections. My five children have finally flown the coop and that leaves me time to really get busy with the information I have collected. I appreciate all that people have posted on the various websites on the Internet and have begun to post as many of the obituaries and newspaper articles that my Great-grandma Bessie collected as I can. As most of them are of her cousins and their families, I have even branched out and researched those connections in order to make these valuable resources available to distant family members. Please feel free use my photos any way you wish.

Thanks...and happy hunting!

(PS If you use my photographs and belong to the Horn or Spurgeon family, I would like to hear from you and perhaps compare notes....)
