I'm a lifelong New England resident and have been interested in genealogy since I was a child, when I'd spend hours pouring over an old family genealogy and reading about the people in it. I was hooked!
If you'd like me to transfer one of my memorials over to you, just let me know. Unless it's a family member or someone close to me, it won't be a problem.
I will also add new information and gladly correct errors. I want the information I list to be as accurate as possible. Please use the Edit button whenever possible for this.
I am working on two family lines. The first includes the surnames Arnold, Blinn, Brown, Marshall, McCurdy, Poor/Poore, Scollay and Webb, among others.
The second line includes the surnames DeWitt, Dodge, Grummert, Gustin, Jayne, Johnson, Proposki, Pursell, Robinson, Springer, Stephens, Wells and Wilson, among others.

RE: Proposki Gravestone Photos
It means a lot to me, your appreciation.
It look me a long time to find Andrew and Margaret; Ive been dropping by the cemetery over the Spring to look for them. The caretaker was in yesterday and gave me directions to them, but it still took me awhile of walking around on a hot day to find them. I couldnt find Walter, but I'll try again soon.

RE: Mary Thayer Jackson
Memorial # 70832797. It seems the comment that her grave is located in the East Parish Burial Ground has been removed and it now says site unknown. Still wonder what the "Thayer" means. Thayer Family Assoc. says no record of a Mary Thayer marrying an Edward Jackson. Several books show a Mary Newton married to him but Torrey disclaims that. Funny that searching Find-a-Grave gets you to someone whose grave can't be found ! An oxymoron !

William Henry Wilson
Hi Carol. I am William Henry's great-granddaughter. He is buried with two of his sons who fell ill and died young. His father-in-law George Thompson is also buried on the other side of this stone. I will take over if you want for his info. I'm surprised that with several genealogists in the extended family that there aren't others who have been on this site.

Mary Thayer Jackson
It seems there is no such grave. Accirding to the Newton Hist. Soc. Archivist they have no record of such a burial in the East Parish Burial Ground. There is a death recird in the town VR but it does nit include the name "Thayer" and the record cimes from the Hyde Diary in possession of the NEHGS. I suggest this record be deleted unless there is some proof found.

Mary E Blinn Bolan
I am Mary E Bolan's granddaughter. Her daughter who died in 1917 was Mary Kathleen. She also had two sons Thomas Augustine Bolan 1923-1989 and Robert Paul Bolan 1924-1985*.

Carol: The Find-a-Grave lists one for Mary Thayer Jackson. Does the g.s. actually show "Thayer" (assumably her maiden name) or has someone editorially added it ? The town VR only show "wid. Mary Jackson." Do you have any info on her antecedents ?

I do not link to burial unknowns. Those are to be cleared within 30 days or removed.
