I was born Joanne Heim in Wilmar, California. My parents are Christine Fisher and Alexander B. Heim. My father was born in Goebel, Saratov, Russia. His father, Andreas Heim, was also born in Goebel, Saratov, Russia. His mother was Elizabeth Schuck, born in Russia, not sure of the Village she was born in. They are Volga Germans who came to America in 1904 and settled in Topeka, Kansas. Came to California in 1920. I have been doing research for over 25 years.
