I have been interested in genealogy since high school, but have only recently begun to seriously research my family. I enjoy taking volunteer photos when I can.|
I hope the memorials I add are accurate, but I'm often not related to them and mistakes do happen. I welcome corrections! I'm happy to transfer management to family members, just ask! Please use the "Edit" tab and "Suggest a Correction" when doing so.
Surnames I'm researching:
Clark & Williams in NC and TN
Powell & Garvin in OH
Wartenbe, Smith & Shaver in OH and VA
Merkel & Joerger in IA
Goeke/Obergoeke in WI, MN and IA
Farnham in New England and Canada

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our soldiers. Hollis Samuel Day is one such soldier. He was born in Underhill, Vermont Feb.19 1834. I am asking you if I may use the photo of his Find A Grave marker, to post on the Vermont Civil War site. ( www.vermontcivilwar.org) You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration, Deanna French

I have been trying for over 1 year 11/05/2014 to get my 3rd Great Grandfather transferred to me. I have also attempted to get others transferred but have been unable to get any response. I just tried to do it again but again 10/25/2015 no response. Please let me know if I am doing it wrong.
This is how I did it.
Please use the "Edit" tab and "Suggest a Correction" when doing so.
Thanks for any help or thoughts.
Have a Great Day

A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. If I have sent this to you before, sorry, but I didn't see it on your profile page. thanks!!! ~Peggy
New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.
Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/ places/plot #s/links to spouse/s and parents.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.
I discovered there are 2 memorials for Margaret. As the memorial I don't manage has more information I'm hoping you'd be OK moving the tombstone picture you took & posted on the memorial I posted to the other. I plan on taking the duplicate down this coming weekend, but if you move it before hand, please let me know.
From memorial #28572560 to memorial #27174291

We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.
