RE: Heiskell Family
Yes, now you've got it. I'll send a email (not public) in a few days to help confirm information on Bess's descendants for your records.

RE: Francis William Heiskell, # 144886316
Thanks. I had missed the county record under the misspelled variation of Heiskell (which shows a male). The county birth and death records I did find noted the child as a girl/daughter which is what prompted my question. I agree it was a mistake for me to read too much into the spelling of the name (Francis/es). I was just wondering if the grave marker itself showed the child's full name.

We're actually in the same family line, tracing through Neil C and his wife, Winifred. I think I may have met you and several other family members when I made a brief trip to WV a few years back. Thanks for creating the memorials and posting pictures of so many of the Heiskell family markers. Its been nice to find so many of their stone recorded in this website.

Francis William Heiskell, # 144886316
Hi Hudson,

Want to double-check the name of the child of Edward Mortimer and Clara (Hiatt) Heiskell in this memorial. The name in Find A Grave is given as Francis (with an 'i') William Heiskell. The county birth and death records; however, record the child as a daughter, not a son, with the name F. W. Heiskell (birth record) and Frances (with an 'e') and just middle initial "W" in the death record. From the county records (see links to WV online
records below) it appears there is only one child born to Ed & Clara on July 30 1893 so I don't think this is a case of twins, but I'm not 100% certain on this point.

There isn't a photo of the actual marker for this child in Find A Grave. Do you know if the marker actually shows the name as Francis William (a son)? I'm just trying to reconcile the sex of this child as the name in Find A Grave seems to indicate the child is a son but the county records seem to show the child is a daughter. I appreciate anything you might share that can help me figure out this mystery.

Hudson, a little confusing on this Find A Grave-you have noted he died March 10, 1882 on inscription, but also died March 10, 1862-is this just a typo?

I do not believe that I am related at all, but I do have many Phillips relatives in the Wayne Township, Greene County, PA area. My grandmother was Armeda Phillips Wright, daughter of Thomas H. Phillips and Nancy Myers Phillips.
I found this clipping of Dr. George Phillips in my mothers clippings and thought it was a good addition to his Find A Grave site.
I am a nurse, much retired, and worked at Mon General in 1957 and 1958, while my husband was a student at WVU.
