My name is Linda Davis. I was born in Jasper, Jasper county Texas.
Although we lived in Buna.
I was born to Robert William Davis Sr. and Mary Edna Granger/Davis.
I was the 6th of seven children, my oldest brother passed.
I had a son in 1990 who was murdered at age 20. He never was married or had children. I got started doing genealogy in 1990 to leave behind something to someone who may be doing genealogy in the future, to let them know they had another child of their g/g/g/grandmother.
I still have problems with my family tree, trying to find my g g grandfather and his people where they came from. I have searched for many years. This is on my fathers side. My g-father went mississing after the death of his wife. He fell of the end of earth and I am always looking.
Mother side both my grandparents I have go back about 6 + generations.
I love to help others who are new to genealogy that need help with their family.
I have helped many find the brick wall they could not open.
I love genealogy and have been at it for 27 years. I still have problems but I guess everone does. I still dont know all the things about genealogy but I can get across the board and find people if they want to be found.
