Remember my wonderful snow-white friend Winter too. He and Farley Mowat certainly changed my mind about wolves. I am retired military, railroad engineer, fifth-generation Californian, and hold The Order of California from the California State Adjutant General for my government service. I am trying to memorialize what I have found in people's stories, but mostly, trying to share the vast research done by my brother, Ken. Our most prominent ancestors are the McPherson's of Alexander Valley, California and the Lea's of the Clear Lake, California area. My interests include Sons of the American Revolution, and other families; Abbott, Combs, Curry, Hale, Hinde, Hixson, Kincheloe, Leach, Moore, Robinson, Sierck, Topper, Vassar, and Zittleman. |
These makes sense to me: "If you wish for a transfer,no problem. If they are not related to me, then I see no reason to keep them. All you have to do is ask." (Find A Grave #....4213)
"I make Memorials in hopes of their family wanting them some day. I'm not into having the most Memorials!" (anon)
"I always try to check for duplicates before posting, but sometimes miss them. I will make corrections or I will gladly transfer ownership of any of your relatives memorials to you. As a matter of fact, if you know more about these folks than I do, don't be surprised to get a transfer. If a memorial is a direct ancestor of mine, we can work out some agreement." Your grandmother Lutidia Dittemore also had 2 Rev War Veterans. The is a difference in Patriot and actually serving in the Rev War. Please look up John Hartman Dittemore who is buried in the West Point Military Acadamy Cemetery in New York. Theother is Michael Nehs Jr. buried At St James Lutheran Cemetery, Green Co., Tennessee and he served in the Virginia Militia.
Your distant cousin

FYI - to friends & colleagues: E. McPherson passed away last year. Which is why you probably have received no answer or actions on any requests here.
I have notified Find A Grave Admin of his passing, so they can re-assign his managed memorials to someone?
I'm working on creating his own Memorial here on the site....
|lolamaude||Alfred Frank Stoops|
Alfred is buried at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery just next door to Merced District Cemetery. His memorial is #88152069. Please contact me and we can decide how to merge and repair this duplication as you have his family connection and I have his gravemarker photo. I am happy to transfer to you once we get him in the correct resting place. Thanks

I just put up the headstone for this one, it shows he was a 2 year old not 90 yrs. You have a note in the "bio" section too.
|KLantz||Question on McPherson ancestors|
Andrew Barton & Parthenia Hale McPherson were my Great Great Great Grandparents. I'm curious about the photos that you added to Parthenia Hale McPherson's memorial page. Can you tell me what house these would be pictures of? They look like they are recent photos and there is no caption. Thank you!

First of all, Iím really pleased that you like the work of my countryman, Farley Mowat. He was amazing, wasnít he? Second of all, thank you for all your great work on memorials. Looking at what you say in your bio, I think we are very much on the same page.
Third of all, I thought you would want it brought to your attention that the memorial 115607742 that you created for Elizebath Mayhorn on August 16, 2013 is a duplicate of memorial 111895092 that Andrea Coleman created for her on Jun 6, 2013.
Yours has a full transcription, but hers has the family links, so maybe you could get the administration to merge them? I'm not sure how that works. Anyway, I thought you would want to know.
All the best,
(and married to a cousin of the son-in-law of Elizebath Mayhorn)

Hello - If you are offering to transfer this memorial. I would really appreciate it. She is realted by Browns, McCrackens and Vassars. If you are a Vassar, I have a lot of information on this family.
Find A Grave Memorial# 116691209.
If you know of an active family Vassar member, can you let me know. I have a lot of stories and maybe be able to help them trace this family back to Scotland in year 1300
Than you for everything...

Great...the transfer has been made!
When I was researching Jack, I ran across memorials for Clyde and Olene Vasser (with an E instead of A) in Golden Gate National Cemetery. The dates for Clyde match his California Death Index (under Vassar) with the exception of the year of birth (off by two years). Clyde's memorial is #3644032 and Olene's memorial is #106009284. I thought I would pass the info along since you have more knowledge of the family.

I believe I have created a memorial for one of your Vassar relatives. If so, please feel free to request a transfer. :-)
