Bio

I got bit by the genealogy bug about 1999 or 2000. I didn't know anything about my family past my maternal grandparents and my paternal grandmother. I didn't use the computer then, but quickly learned and my daughter started the search for our McClure family. When she discovered my paternal great grandfather had several wives I got interested! For him I eventually found 6! Discovered my second great grandparents, Denny H. and Pernina Parrish McClure were Oregon Trail pioneers of 1851, and that Parrish Gap, not far from where I lived in South Salem, was named for Pernina's father Edward Evans Parrish, a pioneer of 1844. I've been at it ever since! We've lived in the Salem, Oregon, area since 1979. I appreciate all the information I've found contributed by many fine people here on Find A Grave.
