Thank you Kathy, I made a note on the entry at Saint Nicholas.

Happy to have found them for you. :)

Also, please be sure to change Eva's "Burial Unknown" to Highland Memory Gardens (same cemetery as her husband's memorial is listed in). Here's the findagrave link to that cemetery:

Highland Memory Gardens

Thanks so much,

RE: Willie Lutzke
I would've gotten it right from the headstone. I'm surprised I don't have a photo on there. Last summer I went through and photographed and added all the stones I could from Green Ridge.

Re: Daniel Shea edit

I refused your edit for Daniel Shea. I do not link to burial unknowns. Please see my profile page for a statement from one of the site administrators on the subject.

Thanks again!
We'll make sure the cemetery records show Fred H., NOT B!

Hi Kathy,

No, you did not ask me about the plot, OR the people buried there. I am working with
Owen Cemetery to correct and update cemetery records. The 'mistakes' I mentioned, are that Owen Cemetery has no record of Wilhelmina Lutzke at all.
As you said, her death certificate states that she is buried there. Her husband is buried there, so I added the photo of the plot that her husband, Fredrick is buried in. We will be adding her to the cemetery records. We are guessing that she is buried with her spouse and grandchildren. Wilhelmina was the last person of the family (who was buried in Owen Cemetery) to die. For whatever reason, her name was not added to the marker, OR the cemetery records.
The lot states that it is owned by Lutzke. There is no first name associated with it. The Lot lists Fredrick Christian (her husband), F.B. (grandson Frederik) and P.M. (granddaughter Pauline). Both children's father is August.
You are correct in that the other 2 sides of the tall marker are blank. There is no writing on them at all.
The writing at the base of the marker is written in English. The entire marker is in English, or the dates of birth and death would say geb./geboren or Gest/gestorben. F.B. would say sohn instead of son. The dates would also be in different order. Germans list day, month and year. English list month, then day, and year. I am able to read and understand German. Unfortunately, the marker is so worn down that only a few of the words on the base are readable at all.
The first word is Weep, and I can make out a few random letters and these words on the last line:
To ______ is to their home ______.
Sorry to go on......

RE: Gertrude Kuemin Photo
Hi Kathy,
The photo came from Jim Kuemin who related to Casimir Francis Kuemin (his grandfather). He had shared it with me because I'm related Louise Matilda Kuemin (my great-grandmother), so I could add the photo to my family tree.

Gertrude Kuemin Photo
Hi Kathy,
I have added a photo of Gertrude and William on her memorial. It's different from the one you have on William's memorial. Hope you like it.

Hello Kathy,

Wilhelmina's name is not currently in Owen Cemetery records. There are only 1 1/2 Lots with Lutzke Family members in Owen Cemetery at this time.
The first was owned by "Lutzke". There is only one tall marker on the Lot. It lists the 3 family members buried in the plot (per cemetery records.)It has Fredrick Christian (Wilhelmina's husband), F B and Pauline Lutzke. (August C and Anna's children)
Wilhelmina died after all of them. She may be buried in the Lot and it's not recorded either in the cemetery records...OR on the marker. The cemetery is having burials investigated in an attempt to update records. As I said previously, the cemetery was privately owned by the Owen Family for years, someone else/several others? maintained it until it reverted to Thomas Township, so records are not complete, but we are working to correct that.
Wilhelmina was not entered into Owen Cemetery records previously. If you had not provided the copy of the death certificate, we would not have known she was there...with a copy of the death certificate showing that she is buried there, I'm confident that she will be entered when all of the work in progress is finished.
The 2nd Lot with a Lutzke in it, is 1/2 of a lot owned by William Lutzke's wife. William is buried in that lot. He is the only Lutzke buried in that lot currently.
August C Lutzke is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, which is owned by the City of Saginaw. Their records are online (though there are some errors in their records also) but the City of Saginaw records show no burial for Wilhelmina (OR Minnie OR Mina....common nicknames for Wilhelmina) in any of the 3 city cemeteries.
Thank you again for the information!
