I started documenting my family tree in June 2011, but I have been thinking about my extended family for a LONG TIME. I googled my ancestors zillions of times before I found FindaGrave.com. About the same time, I joined a genealogy website, which has made research so much better.

Since I am a "newby" I welcome any tips, advice, suggestions from more experienced genealogists. I am especially interested in how to search for records in court houses and county clerk offices.
