Hey everyone! I started studying my family history and genealogy in 1982. Over time I realized how interconnected my family was with everyone else's, so I started keeping records of everything I found out. I never knew what bit of info might come in handy for me or someone I knew. I hope that whatever little I do on here helps someone out. I have a new email listed here since my Hotmail account stopped working.|
If I have unintentionally done anything to "step on someone's toes" or offend anyone I apologize. Everyone has different standards and you can't please all people.
One note here: There seems to be some confusion concerning Huskey Grove Cemetery in Gatlinburg and Huskey Cemetery in Rocky Grove. These are two completely different cemeteries and I will not delete any memorials I have added to Huskey Grove, because they are the right ones. Update: The situation appears to be mostly resolved thanks to DeAnna & Tangled Web Weaver. Many thanks to them!

Hi David, I don't know where her parents are buried, so if you could note their names in her bio section, that would be terrific.
Hello, Sarah Gann is the d/o William Anderson Gann and Rebecca Thomas, both of TN

Thanks for accepting these updates! This makes my heart smile.
When I started researching family I noticed so many were not linked together. I check, then check again to ensure I have the correct family together.
Hopefully future researchers will not have a hard time finding all their family members :)

David, let me say that I think it is great the work you are doing to help others through Find A Grave. I started my genealogy journey in the 1980's and at that time visited many cemeteries seeking family.
Now I am unable to visit cemeteries but you and others have made it possible for me to still visit cemeteries with my extended families. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope you won't mind my making copies of your photos for my Ancestry and Family Tree Maker family files. I am trying to get as much done as I can and as the Lord allows me time so that my extended families will have access to their family heritage. To me FAMILY is important.
Many thanks dear friend for all you have done and are going to do for others.

re: Huskey Grove vs. Huskey - I guess I would be upset also. I wish you luck.
Hello and greetings. First of all, I am not related in anyway. I just stumbled across these two memorials while I was looking for someone else. My mother's father came from Cocke Co., Tn. which is close but in the 1860s etc. not that close at all. I was helping someone and to be honest I have no idea of what I wrote or even if I saved it or where to find it. I do so much and I almost never get back a response so I don't worry about that. Saying that, a lady just transferred me 3 memorials that I made suggestions on but never asked her to transfer them to me. I checked and it was about a year ago when I wrote her. Go figure.
My folks grew up in the Missouri Ozarks but I did not. However, I spent a little over 10 years working on building church's, re-habing church's or help build houses for Habitat in S.E. Ky. near Harlan, Hazzard and Hyden to name some relative larger towns. I was introduced a bit to the way of "the hills" so I am a bit familiar with how life was and is down there.
I just looked in Find A Grave and I did not find a Henry Franklin in Rocky Grove, Tn. Sevier Co. in the Huskey Cemetery. Maybe your problems with "Kristen" are over. Did you check lately? I have "no dog in this fight" so all I could suggest is that if there still is or ever is a dupe of one of your memorials, work with Find A Grave to resolve the matter. I have worked with them but have had limited success. Usually trying to work with another person first is best but if they are inactive or not nice then you have to live with it or try Find A Grave.
Thanks for the nice email and I wish you all the best in your research and in your Henry Franklin situation.
